  after 5 years of no accidents our premium doubled up (over $800/yr). We bought a new car and got impressive rates from the dealer's insurance company, asking for relief and no desire to switch we got $30/yr back and this response "but think about the great company you're with" We switched to a competitor and insured the new car for the same prices we were paying, but nationwide wanted $900 more for the same coverage. Additionally, I posted reviews about our experience on their site, however they filter all bad reviews and don't post them. The three reviews that are posted look highly suspect, all within days of each other, all amazingly positive, and all about the time she took over at the agency. Nationwide was not at all "on my side"

  Posting for my mother, Hazel T. Bell, the Nationwide policy holder: "I just wanted to let you know that I was very impressed with your service, particularly in March when my automobile was involved in a house fire while parked at a friend's house when I was traveling. Needless to say, it was a very unusual situation, involving other insurance companies. Immediately after calling my agent the next day, she took it upon herself to personally talk to my friend's insurance company. As my car was inoperable for a period of time, I was provided with a temporary vehicle until mine was repaired. Overall, the service I received was excellent and I would highly recommend the agency to family and friends.
